WAVEYA is one of the South Korean dance groups that consists of two sisters, is referred to as “Waveya”. The elder sister is nicknamed Ari, but her real name is Jang Eun Young. The younger sister, who is nicknamed MiU and real name Jang You Sun is Jang Eun Young, is called Jang You Sun. They started their dance group more than a decade years ago. The group has experienced numerous changes throughout the decades. There were many female members at the beginning. Waveya gained popularity after creating their YouTube channel in the year 2011 growing to over 3.5 million users when the channel was created. In their videos, Waveya usually perform dance cover versions of various K-Pop, American or Brazilian artists as well as their own original choreography.

Since the beginning of the group, there have been many modifications in the lineup. The popularity of Waveya has grown from the moment they posted an YouTube video in which they danced to Psy’s cult track Gangnam Style. Since the time, Waveya has produced YouTube videos, given concerts, and made some commercials. Waveya has appeared in concert in many countries, including the United States, Korea, Indonesia, Canada and France.
