WAVEYA is an international dance group formed in South Korea, consisting of two sisters. The older sister is nicknamed Ari and her real name is Jang Eun Young. The group started uploading videos of their dance performances on an online Korean portal in 2006. Waveya was a hit after they established their YouTube channel which has grown to more than 3.5 million viewers since its creation in 2011. Waveya’s videos feature dance routines which include covers of American and Brazilian performers, as well in their own choreography.

There have been many changes to the lineup since the group’s inception. The popularity of Waveya grew when they uploaded a YouTube video in which they danced to Psy’s Gangnam Style. Since then, Waveya has produced YouTube videos, held concerts, and has also made commercials. Waveya has performed at concerts in various countries including Korea as well as the United States, the United Kingdom, Indonesia, Canada, France, Spain, Poland, Italy, Turkey, Germany and Sweden.
