Waveya became popular after launching their YouTube channel in the year 2011, amassing over 3.5 million subscribers since the channel was made. In their videos, Waveya or dance covers of various K-Pop, American or Brazilian artists as well as their own original choreography.

There have been a few changes to the lineup since the group began. Waveya’s popularity started to increase as soon as they uploaded the video on YouTube, in which they danced to Psy’s smash track Gangnam Style. Since since then, Waveya has produced YouTube videos, given concerts, and made some commercials. Waveya has performed in concerts in numerous countries, such as the United States, Korea, Indonesia, Canada and France.
