WAVEYA is one of the South Korean dance groups comprised of two sisters, is known as “Waveya”. Ari is the elder sister. Jang Eun Young is her real name. The younger sister, nicknamed MiU and real name Jang You Sun is Jang Eun Young. She is known as Jang You Sun. The group started dancing more than 10 years in the past. The group has seen many changes through the decades. In the beginning, there were many female members. The group started uploading videos of their dance routines on the Korean portal website in 2006. Waveya gained popularity after the launch of their YouTube channel in the year 2011, amassing over 3.5 million viewers since the channel was made. Dance routines on the videos are performed by Waveya that feature covers of American and Brazilian performers, as well the choreography they have created themselves.

There have been a few variations in the lineup since the band’s beginning. Waveya’s popularity began to grow ever since they uploaded the video on YouTube, in which they performed to Psy’s popular song Gangnam Style. Waveya has created YouTube videos, performed concerts and appeared in commercials since then. Waveya has been in concert in many countries, including the United States, Korea, Indonesia, Canada and France.
