WAVEYA is a dance group of South Korea, consisting of two sisters. The elder sister is referred to as Ari and her real name is Jang Eun Young. The younger sister is known as MiU and her real name is Jang You Sun. The group started dancing more than 10 years back. Since then, the group have had numerous changes. The group started posting videos of their dance performances on an online Korean portal site in 2006. Waveya gained popularity after creating their YouTube channel in the year 2011, growing to over 3.5 million users after the channel’s creation. In their videos, Waveya often perform dance covers of diverse K-Pop, American or Brazilian artists along with their own choreography.
Since the formation of the group, there have been many modifications to the group’s lineup. The popularity of Waveya has grown after they posted an YouTube video in which they performed to Psy’s popular track Gangnam Style. Since since then, Waveya has produced YouTube videos, performed at concerts, and has also made commercials. Waveya has performed in concerts in various countries such as Korea as well as the United States, the United Kingdom, Indonesia, Canada, France, Spain, Poland, Italy, Turkey, Germany and Sweden.
