The younger sister is known as MiU, but her real name is Jang You Sun. The group started dancing around 10 years ago. The group has gone through several changes over the decades. The group started posting videos of their dances on a Korean portal website in 2006. Waveya gained popularity after creating their YouTube channel in the year 2011 and has amassed over 3.5 million viewers since the channel was made. In their videos Waveya either perform dance covers of different K-Pop, American or Brazilian artists along with their own choreography.

There have been many variations in the lineup since the group began. Waveya’s popularity rose following the release of on YouTube a video in which they danced along to the song of Psy’s Gangnam Style. Waveya has created YouTube videos, performed live on stage and appeared in commercials since then. Waveya has performed at concerts in a variety of countries like Korea and the United States, the United Kingdom, Indonesia, Canada, France, Spain, Poland, Italy, Turkey, Germany and Sweden.
