WAVEYA is an international dance group of South Korea, consisting of two sisters. Ari is the older sister. Jang Eun Young is her real name. The younger sister is referred to as MiU, but her real name is Jang You Sun. Their dance group was founded over a decade back. The group has gone through numerous changes throughout the years. In the year 2006, the group began posting dance videos to an online Korean portal site. Waveya gained popularity after the launch of their YouTube channel in 2011, and has amassed over 3.5 million subscribers since the channel was made. In their videos, Waveya either perform dance covers of diverse K-Pop, American or Brazilian performers, as well as their own choreography.
There have been several variations in the group’s lineup since the group began. The popularity of Waveya grew after they released a YouTube video in which they danced along to Psy’s Gangnam Style. Waveya has also made YouTube videos, performed in concerts as well as appeared in commercials when. Waveya has performed in concerts in various countries including Korea, the United States, the United Kingdom, Indonesia, Canada, France, Spain, Poland, Italy, Turkey, Germany and Sweden.
