WAVEYA, a South Korean dance group consisting of two sisters, is referred to as “Waveya”. Ari is the elder sister. Jang Eun Young is her real name. The younger sister, nicknamed MiU and real name Jang You Sun is Jang Eun Young. They are known as Jang You Sun. The dance group was established around 10 years back. The group has seen several changes over the decades. The group had a lot of female members at first. In the year 2006, the group started uploading videos of their dance routines to the Korean portal website. Waveya gained fame following the launch of their YouTube channel which has grown to over 3.5 million viewers since its creation in 2011. The videos of Waveya feature dance routines that feature covers of American and Brazilian artists as well as their own choreography.
Since the formation of the group, there have been many changes to the lineup. Waveya’s popularity started to increase from the moment they posted a YouTube video, in which they danced to Psy’s cult song Gangnam Style. Waveya has created YouTube videos, performed in concerts and acted in commercials since then. Waveya has appeared in concert across many countries, including the United States, Korea, Indonesia, Canada and France.
