WAVEYA, the South Korean dance group which is comprised of two sisters, is known as “Waveya”. The elder sister is referred to as Ari but her real name is Jang Eun Young. The younger sister, nicknamed MiU and real name Jang You Sun is Jang Eun Young, is called Jang You Sun. Their dance group was formed over a decade ago. Since then, they have had many changes. At first there were numerous female members of the group. As you’d expect from a South Korean amateur dance group there were plenty of unattractive girls. The girls who were the first to join soon realized they did not have the confidence to behave like sluts in public.

WAVEYA Dance Group does a variety of dance videos as well as events. They mostly make kpop-inspired dance coversthat they post on YouTube. They dance to music and western artists from both the west and the world. They are most well-known for their twerk videos , and for wearing revealing, skimpy costumes.

The group started posting videos of their dance performances on a Korean portal website in 2006. Waveya gained popularity after the launch of their YouTube channel in the year 2011, growing to over 3.5 million viewers after the channel’s creation. In their videos Waveya either perform dance covers of diverse K-Pop, American or Brazilian artists along with their own original choreography.

There have been several changes in the lineup since the group’s formation. The popularity of Waveya grew following the release of the video on YouTube in which they danced to Psy’s Gangnam Style. Waveya has produced YouTube videos, performed live on stage and appeared in commercials since then. Waveya has performed in concerts in many countries, including the United States, Korea, Indonesia, Canada and France.
