WAVEYA, a South Korean dance group which is comprised of two sisters, is known as “Waveya”. The elder sister is referred to as Ari, and her real name is Jang Eun Young. The younger sister is called MiU, but her real name is Jang You Sun. They began their dance troupe more than a decade in the past. Since then, the group have had numerous modifications. In the beginning, there were many female members of the group. Like you would expect from a South Korean amateur dance group there were a lot of unattractive sexually explicit sluts. The girls who were the first to join soon realized that they did not have the self-confidence to dress like sluts on the streets.
WAVEYA Dance Group does a range of dance videos and events. They mostly do kpop dance songs, which they upload on YouTube. The group started posting videos of their dances on the Korean portal in 2006. Waveya gained popularity after the launch of their YouTube channel in 2011, having more than 3.5 million viewers since the channel was launched. Videos by Waveya showcase dance routines which include covers of American and Brazilian performers, as well with their own choreography.
Since the start of the group, there have been many changes to the group’s lineup. Waveya’s popularity began to grow from the moment they posted the video on YouTube, in which they danced to Psy’s hit track Gangnam Style. Waveya has also made YouTube videos, performed live on stage and acted in commercials since when. Waveya has been performing in concert in a variety of countries like Korea, the United States, the United Kingdom, Indonesia, Canada, France, Spain, Poland, Italy, Turkey, Germany and Sweden.
