WAVEYA, an South Korean dance group consisting of two sisters, is known as “Waveya”. Ari is the older sister. Jang Eun Young is her real name. The younger sister, nicknamed MiU and real name Jang You Sun is Jang Eun Young. Her real name is Jang You Sun. Their dance group was founded about a decade ago. The group has seen several changes over the time. At first there were numerous female members of the group. The group began uploading videos of their dance performances on a Korean portal site in 2006. Waveya became popular after they created their YouTube channel, which has amassed over 3.5 million viewers since it was launched in the year 2011. In their videos, Waveya either perform dance covers of various K-Pop, American or Brazilian artists along with their own choreography.

There have been several variations in the lineup since the group began. Waveya’s popularity started to increase ever since they uploaded an YouTube video in which they performed to Psy’s popular song Gangnam Style. Waveya has produced YouTube videos, performed in concerts and has appeared in commercials since that time. Waveya has performed at concerts across various countries, including Korea and the United States, the United Kingdom, Indonesia, Canada, France, Spain, Poland, Italy, Turkey, Germany and Sweden.
