Waveya gained popularity after creating their YouTube channel in 2011, having more than 3.5 million users after the channel’s creation. In their videos, Waveya often perform dance covers of various K-Pop, American or Brazilian artists along with their own choreography.

There have been numerous modifications to the lineup since the group’s formation. Waveya’s popularity began to grow after they posted a YouTube video, in which they performed to Psy’s popular track Gangnam Style. Waveya has produced YouTube videos, performed concerts and acted in commercials since when. Waveya has been in concert in many countries, including the United States, Korea, Indonesia, Canada and France.
