WAVEYA is one of the South Korean dance groups consisting of two sisters, is referred to as “Waveya”. Ari is the elder sister. Jang Eun Young is her real name. The younger sister is referred to as MiU and her real name is Jang You Sun. Their dance group was founded more than 10 years back. The group has experienced many changes over the time. The group began uploading videos of their dances on the Korean portal in 2006. Waveya gained fame after they launched their YouTube channel in the year 2011 growing to over 3.5 million viewers since the channel was made. In their videos Waveya often perform dance covers of various K-Pop, American or Brazilian artists as well as their own choreography.
There have been several changes to the lineup since the group’s formation. Waveya’s popularity increased after they released an YouTube video where they danced to Psy’s Gangnam Style. Waveya has also made YouTube videos, performed concerts as well as appeared in commercials the time. Waveya has been performing in concert across various countries, including Korea, the United States, the United Kingdom, Indonesia, Canada, France, Spain, Poland, Italy, Turkey, Germany and Sweden.
