WAVEYA is a dance group of South Korea, consisting of two sisters. Ari is the older sister. Jang Eun Young is her real name. The younger sister is known as MiU but her real name is Jang You Sun. They formed their dance group more than a decade years ago. The group has undergone many changes over the years. In the beginning there were several female members. The group began uploading videos of their dance performances on the Korean portal in 2006. Waveya gained fame after they launched their YouTube channel in the year 2011 growing to over 3.5 million users after the channel’s creation. In their videos Waveya usually perform dance cover versions of different K-Pop, American or Brazilian artists along with their own choreography.

There have been many variations in the lineup since the band’s beginning. Waveya’s popularity started to increase after they posted the video on YouTube, in which they danced to Psy’s hit song Gangnam Style. Waveya has made YouTube videos, performed live on stage and acted in commercials since the time. Waveya has performed live in numerous countries, such as the United States, Korea, Indonesia, Canada and France.
